Description

Pearlising liquid is a fine-particle dispersion of ethylene glycol distearate in an aqueous surfactant solution. It is used as a cold processable pearlizing agent in shampoos, shower and bath preparations and for other pearlized formulations. A sufficient pearl effect is already achieved at low concentrations of 0.3 % pearl concentrate. Pearlising liquid may exhibit thickening properties.

Formulation Guide

Preparation

  • Pearlising fluid is mixed with all other ingredients. The mixture is stirred until it is homogeneous.
  • A very low viscosity in the final product may result in a gradual separation which will settle to the bottom. In such cases, suitable thickening agents should be used to adjust the viscosity.
  • Recommended usage concentration 0.3 - 3.0% TEGO® Pearl N 300
