Description

3-O-ethyl ascorbic acid is a new generation of Vitamin C derivative that provides superb whitening effects and also serves as a potent anti-ageing active that boosts collagen synthesis and protects skin from DNA damage. It exhibits a strong inhibition effect on melanogenesis, reduces dark spots and age spots, fights photoaging by interfering with inflammatory cytokines, such as IL-6, and reverses ROS production to achieve free radical scavenging purposes. 3-O-ethyl ascorbic acid is effectively a newer form of Vitamin C that offers a better overall performance. It is water soluble with excellent heat and photostability profile. Best of all, it is highly stable and easy to formulate.

Store below 30 OC in a well-ventilated and dry condition, keep sealed in the original package and away from light.


Shelf Life:
EAA can be stored for up to 2 years when the package is unopened and stored away from light. For longer-term storage, store in a fridge at 5°C to 15°C.

Formulation Guide
  • It is recommended to keep the pH of the formulation between 5-6.5 and to include an anti-oxidant when used in combination with other actives.
  • It is recommended that dissolve 1g 3-O-ethyl ascorbic acid in 1g citric acid buffer (pH 5.5) and then add it to the water phase.
