Description

Hydrogenated Polyisobutene is a photostable, ultra-soft emollient with various sensory perceptions. It is an ideal base material for daycare products since they are photostable, and hence prevents the UV-light-induced formation of free radicals in the formulation. 

It is an excellent emollient for sun care products, as they are completely photostable. As texture modifiers, they bring softness and elegance to sun care formulations. They are compatible with all types of UV filters.

It can be used as emollients in hair care products. It has a detangling effect while bringing softness and shine. It is excellent for leave-on products as they leave no residue.

Formulation Guide

Emulsions

It is suitable for all types of emulsions and it can be used in cold process formulations.

It is volatile and therefore it should not be heated.

Typical use level: 5-10%.

Anhydrous Systems

It can be added to anhydrous systems without heating. However, if heating is required, it should be
avoided as it is volatile.

Typical use level: 2-10%
